This is a gorgeous and inspiring piece! Eric Whitacre, is a classical composer with a vision. He brought people from around the world together to sing a piece – individually – that he composed over a decade ago, and the result is breathtaking. Brought together by technology, all these people of all ages, children, teens, seniors, they’ve never met but are now a family connected forever.
Wouldn’t it be great if all those one-use plastic disposable items like water and soda bottles, food containers, or shampoo bottles could be turned into oil for cars or heat?
Wow! What a thought! Items that once were potentially headed for landfills turned into oil?
It is becoming a reality. A man in Japan has created a machine that converts plastics, which is originally made from oil, back into oil! Stuff your plastic wrappers, bottles, bottle tops, etc., in there. It is converted into a liquid oil that can be further refined into gas, diesel, or kerosene. It can be used for cars, motorcycles, generators — the list goes on.
I hope you have gotten to know my girl Petunia over at Green Beans Rewards, working hard to get the word out about recycling your old cell phones, getting your hands on a refurbished cell battery (which I have purchased in the past and it worked just fine for my Blackberry) or just talking up eco-friendly & funny topics. She’s been super supportive of Live Green Mom lately and I sure do appreciate it! I wanted to share her first foray into the world of xtranormal video making, she’s a funny gal, that Petunia!
Too good not to share! And, bonus! sung by GLEE!
And the anti-bullying one that really struck a note with my little girl, she loved this! She SO badly wants to be in a flash mob someday.
My friend Lori over at The Life of Lock Mommy (a great mommy blog, you should check her out!) posted this, and I want to share it too. Stop and think, when you feel like people are annoying, or perhaps moving too slowly for your pace. You might be making a snap judgment or stereotyping a person.
Take another look. Watch this. And see if it doesn’t open your eyes a bit or at least remind you as we enter the holiday season that it isn’t always about you.
Thanks for the reminder, Lori. I know I needed it!
